The Marjani Clinic represents the “Clinic/Base” of the “Dermatovenereology” residency program of the Tbilisi State Medical University. On the basis of the agreement with the University, the Marjani Clinic conducts accredited programs of post-diploma medical education, residency and continuous professional development.

“Clinic/base” provides the post-diploma teaching process with the appropriate material and technical base, qualified doctors and teachers. In the clinic, medical researches, acquisition of practical skills necessary for doctors and other tasks are carried out. The scope and field of activity of the joint “programs” of the “university” and “clinic/base” are determined by the requirements of the accredited “programs”.

The residency program in “dermatovenerology” is intended for specialists with higher medical education and graduates of the Faculty of Medicine who wish to become dermatovenerology doctors.

The minimum duration of training for a resident in the specialty of dermatovenerology is 3 years, which includes the basic clinical training and expertise in dermatology and venereology necessary for a dermatovenerology.

  1. Clinical management of patients under the supervision of the supervisor
  2. Curriculum consisting of lectures-seminars
  3. Training in the form of informal clinical and workshop meetings and presentations

The residency program includes the resident’s:

  1. Theoretical preparation
  2. Practical activities – curing patients, participating in clinical examinations and conferences, working in offices and manipulation, etc.
